Who are we?
I would like to personally thank you for visiting our site. Hopefully this will give you some idea of what Salina Powersports came from....
Originally started as Wholesale Services back in 1987 at the corner of Broadway and Hagaman streets in Salina. What started as a used car lot quickly outgrew that location and moved to its present site at 632 S. Broadway in 1989 and continued with the used car business as World Of Wheels.
In 1995, Robert Bohm became and is still the general manager of the store. In 1997, the first "new" franchise was added (Sea-Doo) and the business ran under both business names (World of Wheels and Salina Sea-Doo) until Suzuki was added in November of 2000, when it was changed to the current name of Salina Powersports. This is when the business focus started to shift from the used car business to the powersports business.
In 2000, Sea-Doo Sport Boats were added. Most recent franchises aquired include Aprilia (Italian manufacturer of high performance motorcycles and scooters), Arctic Cat (ATV manufacturer from Minnesota), both added in the spring of 2002, and Cannondale ATV and Motorcycles originally added in late 2001. E-Ton ATVs and Scooters started in 2003. Piaggio and Vespa (scooter manufacturers) franchises added in 2006.
Today, Salina Powersports is a major player in the powersports business in Kansas. We are continually looking for more ways to improve our customer service and offerings to the customer. We still sell cars too but the majority of what you will see when you visit will be the large selection of what I like to refer to as "toys". We have recently added two store in the Topeka, KS area also.
